About me

Dean Valentic was born in Pula, Croatia in 1969. His interest in yoga and eastern philosophy began in the 1980s. He lived in Ljubljana, Slovenia where he worked as a vegetarian cook, lived a secluded life, received initiation from his spiritual master (Brahma-Madhva Gaudiya lineage), and studied Vedic scriptures. Since then he has been practicing what he learned. In 1999, he began studying Vedic Astrology under the guidance of his astrology teacher Gabor Szucs (Gauranga Dasa) from Budapest, Hungary.

Gauranga Dasa was a student of Sanjay Rath, a traditional astrology teacher from India and the founder of the Sri Jagannath Astrology School and Institute. Dean Valentic continues studying, teaching, and practicing astrology within that tradition. After more than 15 years of practice, Dean Valentic has studied and analyzed over 1,000 natal charts. He presently lives in Pula.
